Maybe you remember this family from this wedding.
When I met Dana, Jack and Joseph, I knew I’d never forget them! Something that day touched my heart about their adoption of this super sweet baby from Ethiopia.
And I’m glad they remembered me when they adopted their 2nd child, Solomon.
Here is the account of his welcome home…..
Joseph could not be more excited to meet his big brother. His mom and dad had been gone a week in Ethiopia finalizing the details of the adoption.
Friends and family came to welcome Solomon. Overflowing with gifts and signs of hello in his native language, they were ready to have him become part of the family.
Mandy, Dana’s sister, took Joseph closer to the terminal entrance to meet with his family privately before everyone else.
Through the convenience of text messages, we knew that Dana and Jack had safely landed and would be exiting the plane in a matter of minutes…. but the waiting felt like FOREVER.
Finally, Joseph spots his mom and dad!
And promptly tackles Solomon with the biggest hug (get ready to see a lot more of these hugs). 🙂
Solomon’s face was so cute when he tried to read the signs that everyone had made for him. I think we may have even gotten some of the translations  a little fuzzy – and that’s where the expression on the left is from!
There’s those hugs again! (oh yeah, there’s more!) 🙂
And both grandmas were OVERJOYED to be adding another grandchild to the family.Â
Present Time!
If you read Dana and Jack’s blog, you’ll notice that Solomon is a very neat and tidy young man. I got to see this first hand as he promptly picked up all the tissue paper from his gifts and cleaned up the area in an organized fashion. So, sweet, gentle, and happy to be home. It was such a joy to watch Solomon graciously accept gifts from his family and friends.
Brothers. I can already see this relationship being a cherished one.
What a true, true joy! God Bless this family for being open to God’s call on their lives for adoption.
Welcome Home, Solomon!
These are just incredible. So special. What a gift.
Those literally bought tears to my eyes! Such beautiful and breath taking images! Congrats to the new family of 4!
Awesome.
I love the first one!
Oh my! What a blessing and incredible family! I love adoption and you did such a great job capturing their homecoming!
Tears are flowing! What a beautiful and blessed family!
