I love to tell stories with photos. Weddings and Births are my favorite stories to witness.
This birth in particular was so special to me. I love photographing people in passionate love. And I love photographing my friends. So the two together makes for a super emotionally tied birth photographer (that’s me!).
First of all, it must be mentioned that Linus’ parents are excellent photographers, Lynsey and Tommy decided to document their baby’s arrival by using several photographers, including themselves.
The maternity photos you see are courtesy of
Lynsey and Tommy and the in-home newborn photos are courtesy of our superbly talented friend
Cheryl.
Thank you Lynsey, Tommy, and Linus for sharing your story…..
Yes, this talented photog couple did their own maternity session. 🙂
Lynsey’s completely natural labor and delivery of Linus was beautiful and moving. She did phenomenally well handling each and every contraction – seriously, Â like superwoman!
Plus, I truly believe that your birthing coach is an integral part in a successful natural birth….and Tommy was beyond amazing! Because of this, their baby was brought into this world with complete partnership, intimacy, and absolute love.
The fun part was, they had no idea if they were going to be blessed with a boy or girl. Their awe and excitement was just too much to handle once they met their little man.
With tears from Daddy and with a wash of supreme, overwhelming love, they greeted their little Linus Tucker at 2:38 am on July 1st. This sweet little guy was 18 inches long and just one ounce shy of 6 pounds.
Another favorite aspect of the evening was the incredible love their family and friends had for this couple.  As they each traveled into the room in separate groups to get individual time with Linus (a unique and wonderful idea!), families greeted Lynsey and Tommy with love and respect….and their hearts burst with gentle affection for this new baby boy.
Lynsey and Tommy are blessed to have such great friends and family.
The night was so special for everyone involved: grandparents, aunts, uncles, and pseudo aunts and uncles.
The story would not be complete without their journey home.
Documented by the lovely and talented Cheryl M Photography.
Thank you, Lynsey and Tommy! I felt so incredibly honored to be part of your journey into parenthood.
Lots of love!
Donna

Just a little side note….
As photographers, it can get lonely all day in front of our computer. That’s why we like to get together occasionally for a night out. As you can see, that’s Lynsey in the middle and Cheryl and I are on either side of her, hugging her baby bump. The rest of these lovely ladies are also fantastic photographers and you can find their Facebook pages linked below. I am grateful to know them as well as many other fantastic photographers in this STL area. We are team players with the same goal: to stay busy taking and making fantastic memories for our clients.
